Trying Not To Die

You will have to forgive the lack of posts in my part. What I thought would be a productive winter break was interrupted by some sort of ick. So much was to be done! PitchMAS was a success. I'll have to talk about that later. The energy is leaving me. I have been confined to my bedchamber for six days now, unable to write. Reading has been difficult, but I somehow managed to finish two books. I believe it was best put into glorious words by Sweet Brown, who shares my affliction, in saying that "Ain't nobody got time for that."

Bride vs Migraines

Yesterday I had another SPG nerve block for my chronic migraines. If you don't know what that is, I'll sum it up in saying that they stuck a tube up my nose and into my brain where a heavy dosage of anesthetic was injected into the nasty, mean nerve cluster which triggers my migraines. Let's get all of the basic questions out of the way: This is my 4th one. I'm completely awake for the entire thing. They only numb my nasal canals with q-tips and some gel stuff.  It tastes disgusting. It lasts for about a month or so, depending on the person and severity. (I'm still working on a schedule) Without them, I have migraines about 3 or more times a week. I will have to have this done constantly for the rest of my life until a permanent solution is found. It is a godsend and I'd probably be reduced to a little ball of screaming pain without it. Usually, I'd be okay the day after but something wasn't right when I woke up. At the time, I was yelling a
